Early Life
Priyamani, born on June 4, 1984, in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, had a childhood immersed in artistic influence. Growing up, she displayed a deep interest in acting and dancing, which laid the foundation for her future career in the entertainment industry. As a child, Priyamani often participated in school plays, cultural events, and dance competitions, showcasing her natural talent and passion for performing arts.

Career
Priyamani comes from a Palakkad Iyer family in Bangalore, Karnataka. Her father, Vasudevan Mani Iyer, works in the plantation business, while her mother, Lathamani Iyer, was a national-level badminton player and a former bank manager at Union Bank of India. During her school years, Priyamani engaged in modeling for various brands such as Kanchipuram Silk, Erode Bharani Silks, and Lakshmi Silks.
In her 12th Standard, Priyamani was introduced to the film industry by Tamil director Bharathiraja. Despite her burgeoning career, she actively participated in extracurricular activities and sports during her school days. She is the granddaughter of renowned Carnatic vocalist Kamala Kailas and has familial ties to the film industry, being the cousin of actress Vidya Balan and the niece of playback singer Malgudi Shubha.
After completing her school education, Priyamani began her journey in print advertising modeling. She later pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology through correspondence. Priyamani is multilingual, proficient in languages such as English, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu, and Hindi. While Director Fazil initially offered her a film role, she declined the opportunity due to her board examinations. Eventually, she made her debut in the film industry with a Tamil movie.
