Early Life

Dhar, hailing from Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India, belongs to a Kashmiri Pandit family. She is a professionally trained dancer, recognized with several awards for her performances. Her dance training includes eight years of Bharatanatyam under Vani Ganpathy, and four years of Jazz and Contemporary dance under Shiamak Davar and Terence Lewis.

Dhar received her early education at St. Michael’s Convent School, Mankapur, and later at National Public School, Indiranagar. She completed her graduation from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai.

Career

She made her debut in 2010 with the Hindi film “Isi Life Mein,” portraying the character Rajnandani ‘RJ’ Khandelwal. Despite the film’s modest rating of 5.6.

In 2012, Dhar appeared in the popular film “Dabangg 2” as Anjali, further establishing her presence in Bollywood. She continued to explore different genres and roles, including playing Renu in “Heropanti” (2014) and Pia Dhillon in “Gollu Aur Pappu” (2014). While “Gollu Aur Pappu” did not fare well critically, Dhar’s versatility was evident as she transitioned from film to television and other formats.

Dhar’s foray into television included notable roles in several series. In 2019, she played Komal in the highly rated series “Abhay,” which garnered an 8.0 rating. This role was significant in highlighting her ability to adapt to the dynamic and intense storytelling required for TV series. The same year, she appeared in “Flip,” a TV mini-series, as Firdaus.
