Career
Surbhi Chandna began her television career in 2009 with a brief role in the popular show “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah,” sharing the screen with Disha Vakani, Amit Bhatt, Shailesh Lodha, Munmun Dutta, Neha Mehta, and several other notable actors.
After taking a four-year break, she returned to television as Suzanne in Star Plus’s “Ek Nanad Ki Khushiyon Ki Chaabi… Meri Bhabhi.” In 2014, Surbhi ventured into Bollywood, playing the role of Aamna Khan in the film “Bobby Jasoos.”
From 2014 to 2015, Surbhi played the role of Haya Qureshi Ansari, a deaf and mute character, in the TV series “Qubool Hai.” During this period, she also made a guest appearance as Sia in an episode of “Aahat.”
Her major breakthrough came between 2016 and 2018, when she portrayed Anika Trivedi Singh Oberoi in the hit show “Ishqbaaaz” alongside Nakuul Mehta. Her performance won her several awards, including the ITA Award for Best Actress – Popular, and her on-screen chemistry with Nakuul Mehta earned them the Gold Best Onscreen Jodi award. She also reprised her role as Anika in the spin-off series “Dil Boley Oberoi” in 2017.
Surbhi continued her successful streak by taking on the role of Dr. Ishani Arora Mathur in the 2019-2020 reboot of the series “Sanjivani.” She then explored the supernatural genre by playing Bani Sharma Singhania, a shape-shifting serpent, in “Naagin” from 2020 to 2021, alongside Sharad Malhotra. Her performance in “Naagin” earned her another ITA Award for Best Actress – Popular.
In 2021, Surbhi expanded her artistic range by appearing in music videos such as “Bepanah Pyaar” and “Bepanah Ishq” with Sharad Malhotra. The following year, she hosted the show “Hunarbaaz” and starred in the music video “Ho Gaya Hai Pyaar” with Arjun Bijlani.
From 2022 to 2023, Surbhi played the role of Manmeet Shergill Yadav, a single mother, in the series “Sherdil Shergill” opposite Dheeraj Dhoopar.
In 2024, Surbhi made her digital debut in “Rakshak – India’s Braves: Chapter 2,” where she played the role of Alka Singh, starring alongside Barun Sobti, Vishwas Kini, Aayaam Mehta, and others.
